When The Angels Smirked

The angels tied a huge rock around my neck
One said let us imprison him in his dark desires
Another said, lets drown him in his sorrows
While they were making bets on what would be the best punishment
I lay there, right at the feet of their strong mercy
How could I tell them I am drowning from with in
All they needed to do was wait
Eventually I would dive into the abyss
I would take a deep breathe and swim into the heart of the dark oceans
Would they need to tie a rock?
I wish they could see the tumor in my throat
A huge pile of pain sitting right there
Isn't that enough to pull a person deep into the oceans?
I was about to fly with my new wings
Was about to take him on my back to the Sun
Show him how bright and beautiful the world above is
Like a strong wind they swooped on us
Put a chain around my wings, tearing the feathers like barbarians
I could see him fall while I was being toyed with
He slipped away from my sight into my memories in a moment
Before I could realize I was on the ground again
I wish I had fallen down along with him
May be we could have swam together
And now I swim alone. All I want is to go deeper into the oceans
Take a long and deep breathe once I reach the heart
And lay down in peace
