A Promise!

The soundless day clapped, calling upon the deaf night
When the ushers walked in between the dying souls
The ravens feasting decaying poems
All the detached souls found joy sharing sorrow.

Sometimes, the limited seats in heart's theater won't accommodate a soul
Yet play the melancholic memories for one self
The bridge between complex reality and a simple imagination crumbles
Controlled chaos, I call it.

What matters the most, at any point in time
Is the clock with hands that chase each other, indefinitely
Some dwell in the past, whilst, the clock brings others into the present
A moment for one brings forth a memory while for others,
A blank canvas to paint the future on.

In between the attempts to make confused communication
The day uses wheels of time and the night? Its dark, as always
Knowing not what the day says.
Who were the ushers guiding? Was that a wedding? Or a funeral?

It was sunny when I visited my father,
Graveyard, one of the most beautiful and mysterious places I have been to
Calm, letting the wind carry the whispers of the past among the tombs
Its a world one can imagine, to be once lively
I wonder if we visiting our loved ones initiates the celebration.

The Sun was high, hanging right on top of my head
My shadow protecting a promise, ages old promise.
My heart so straight and proud
No wonder I felt a sense of achievement.
I dint fall, nor get tempted
Despite the times, old and new promises were kept
I laid my tear at your feet
If you could swallow it,
Feel it, taste it, its mixed with time and one memory
Bitter yet soothing to soul!
