The Fall

It was another night, another moment the light disappeared
No moon, no stars within my reach, I waled down the valley
By the river I saw a fish, bright red and white in color
My curiosity bubbling in my head ordered my feet to march forward
Oh such a beautiful fish. Bright and shining
What looked like the color of blood and the moon
I sat by the river banks, lost in its beauty.
Took out my pen and started writing in thin air

Darkness all around, and the fish was eating it.
One strand of darkness at a time. The blanket of darkness surrounding us
How could it eat the darkness I wondered?
What am I writing? A fish eating darkness?
Will it ever satisfy its hunger? Or is it more than what it could ask for?
Will the darkness consume the fish?
Will it shine any brighter or lose its glory?

It was another night, another moment the light disappeared
I found myself among all the organs
I couldn't identify myself? They all had some form but not me
May be thats what people call consciousness
Anyways, I sat among all the organs
Who do you belong to I asked. A smirk was all I got
They were all scattered, going on their own way
I tried reasoning with them but none would listen

I saw what looked like a bubble swelling up from the river
The river of blood. The bubble contained what looked like rage
Every organ was looking for the bubble.
I tried reasoning with them, but none would listen
The bubble, what looked like a tiny one started growing bigger
Bigger until it consumed the river itself
None would listen!

It was another night, another moment the light disappeared
I was walking in the forests, among the owls, when they hunt their prey
Not a single star to be seen above nor below
The forests were above and the sky below,
Why are all the feathers scattered? Who do they belong to?
It felt like I was falling, scenery moving at a faster pace
That I couldn't capture what was happening
I saw feathers all over
Oh the great Owl! Its yours. Its you!
Oh, the wings, who tore them apart?

It was another night, another moment the light disappeared
The bird was falling coz it tore the wings
The rage inside its heart was consuming it slowly
The rage so dark that it filled the whole valley left behind
We need that fish to clean the darkness left behind
We need that bird to fall from the forests to the skies
For it would need no wings no more
The darkness will be the wings
The rage will the the crown
The pride will be the ring!
