Listen...
Find the meaning of inspiration from the past
When the skies are bright and the winds scorching
Find a rainbow in the oil spilled on the ground
If not a rainbow connecting the two large worlds
Find on that connects the dreams of the past and present!
If not a tower minting money filled with cars
Sucking the soul out of you, making no distinction between a machine and human
Find a small shade beneath the one tree
Standing right in the middle unnoticed, unseen
Calling you to relieve the stress!
Rather than a trip to the Wests of the worlds beyond
In search of peace sold for a cheap bargain
Stop the train of thoughts, as if the very existence has ceased
And the World paused! Listen! To the one voice that calls out your name
From afar, from the place you abandoned, from within!
If not a poem written by the one with laurels
Words from within, sewed one at a time
Extracted from the prayers, cries, jokes, goodbyes, love letters, promises
Stitched together into a poem without a meter
To cover you during the cold winter nights to come
Listen! If you can!
To cover you during the cold winter nights to come
Listen! If you can!
