Lullaby In The Woods

"The woods sing a lullaby to put the restless souls to sleep
Hear it echo in the noisy city streets as it pierces through the city lights
Like the child in a fair, with eyes full of awe and in love with reds and the neon
With thoughts chasing the sweet smell of candy and the horses in the merry
How I love to hear the woods sing from the farther lands.

Put me to sleep at the bosom of my mother under the palms
Naked to the city eyes wrapped in the silence I would sleep,
Anchoring the thoughts in the shallow city homes I run away
Away from here to where my soul belongs in the womb of the woods
Into the embrace of the fair in the woods, into the silent woods
As the woods sing the lullaby I weave the dreams one by one
Like a child in the womb, like the child in the fair with awe in silence I lay
As the woods sing the lullaby.... I sleep...!"
