"The Forgotten Child" - The Third Blink

What was special about the summers? Wasn't the Holidays for there was no other home than mine
It was the nights that mattered the most. While the towns and people still loved staying away from the modern society
I would lie down on the roof as if it were the mountain top. All i would see was a sea of stars.
Stars here and stars there... Everywhere till my eye can see. While the Sun rested in the west
I played with the Moon at night and the not so often blowing winds visit and say hi...A visit tinged with Love
Ask me of my favorite friends and the first one to climb up my thoughts was the band of 7 stars...Squared with a tail!
I would get lost looking at the dark sea with the ever so shining stars. As if i were an explorer uncovering the unvisited lands.
Thats right! An explorer, inexperienced yet with the passion to travel farther into the skies.
All i needed was the night to show up at the door step and knock on my door and say Hey little buddy, lets fly away!
There we go seeking the familia of stars some shining bright and some running farther away... As if probing me to go farther
For i made friends with things other couldn't see or comprehend. And i did not have to close my eyes to dream and imagine...
All i needed to do was let go of the anchor holding my little boat off from sailing
And let it drift into the vast oceans of imagination... Where i would forget the shouts and cries
The numbers and drawings... And i would meet my friends there! For they were made of pure hearts which would not worry about the color or status. All they cared was about playing and having fun. To be what we wanted to be. From the oceans we would set sail into the skies... Stop at every house and have a candy and play till the time ran out.
I wonder when did i lose the child. Probably in the hustle of the age. I wonder is he is still out there, waiting to set sail again.
It is time!
